When we were given the preliminary task to complete it was very structured and restricted. We were given only one lesson to complete the preliminary task, so therefore, our resources and planning were limited. Although we were only given a short space of time, we were able to think about the variety of camera angles and movements and the importance of including them in our final film opening. Having certain things to complete within the preliminary task did help the group, and myself, to recognize the importance of creating a strong, structured storyline before we started filming - otherwise it would have turned out as a mess.

Looking back now, I believe that from the preliminary task, we did begin to realise how much of a storyline you can show in such a short space of time. In progression from the preliminary task we began to understand how, by using different camera shots and editing, we could create a film opening that clearly introduces the main characters and ‘sets the scene’ for the rest of the film, whilst engaging and entertaining the audience.
