Front Cover• The title of the Album is red and so the colour is boldly featured on the

front cover. It is only used for the title which instantly draws the reader in. She is not looking directly at the audience which again implies that she may have a secret.

• Taylor Swift is the majority of the album cover as her agency wants to promote her and as she is famous and a icon then this will grab her audience. It would also be easily recognisable for her fans or the public.

• It communicates the genre as this is a new concept for her album covers as it shows her maturity and a new direction for her identity and music. It is sleek and mature which will be reflected in the music.

• The album cover is very simple compared to her other covers .• The colours included are simple like her top and name in white this

could convey the idea that she is showing her fans herself and she doesn’t need it to be busy, just herself.

The dark area around her eyes that is hard to see makes Taylor seem very mysterious and intriguing.

With the shadowing the red lips are highlighted more so and works well with the title of the album. The bright red lip stick is a sex appeal and emphasises her being a woman hints danger, giving the impression of Taylor Swift being Dangerous. This will appeal to a different target audience than her previous ones.

Her hair is coinciding with the red lipstick

Her name ‘Taylor Swift’ is bold compared to her previous album's. The bold capitalization is more of a statement and suggests a new Taylor Swift..

The title in this album stands out and matches well with the image.

Back Cover• The back cover of the ‘Red’ Album holds the same

theme as she is half of the frame and so the audience can instantly connect with her.

• Unlike the front cover she is looking directly at the audience but her back is turned which again suggests something secretive.

• The pose, outfit, hair blowing in the wind and parted lips give her a sex appeal that her audience. However the background of a garden suggests that she is just an ordinary girl and is reference to when she made country music.

The text is similar to the front, in the same block, clear and simple font which reinforces her new identity as being simple and sexy.

The colours emphasis her new found identity, the red indicates a danger or sexuality whilst the black and white are professional and slick.

It also has the key features found on the back covers being the bar code, logos and copyright text. This will be a must on our own digipak.
