DFMC-Review MeetingsREVIEW MEETINGS:• Regular bi-monthly review meetings held

with 17 key line departments

• Review done against performance indicators embedded in Action Taken Report (ATR)

• District Collector as Chairman, DFMC presides over review meetings

• All Head of Dept (HoD) attend meeting along with Point Persons

• So far 5 such review meetings organised and status updated in ATR

• ATR submitted to District Collector & circulated to all departments

• Monthly review meeting held with Point Persons

DFMC –NGO Network

NGO/CSO NETWORK:• A network of NGO/CSOs formed and about 50 organizations are

members • A two day consultation workshop held and an action plan

developed • The action plan is reviewed periodically and thus NGO/CSO

engagement promoted• On July 2nd 2015 a GO-NGO Consultation meeting held with

network partner and Govt functionaries. • It was decided to closely converge GO- NGO Collaboration for

Fluorosis mitigation• Now areas of NGO engagement has to be identified and an action

plan with financial plan to be prepared for rolling the activities

Samithi (FVPS) led by Mr Subhash Kanchukatla • Conducting Thematic Studies – Internships- two studies conducted 1)

DFMC, Role and Structure by Mr Rahul Rathod from SP University, Gujarat, and 2) Water Scenario in fluoride affected region – a case study of Nalgonda distirct

• Participation in summer heat wave relief activities in collaboration with Plan India and Mahita agencies

• Capacity building and awareness training to SHG leaders and project staff on fluorosis mitigation

• Coordinating with DFMC, UNCEF and NIN for various support activities on fluorosis mitigation

Work in other districts• Kadapa Distirct: Collaboration with Mines, Minerals and

People (mmP) – led by Keystone Foundation on issues related to drinking water, water quality issues, rights of indigenous people on water, water pollution with Uranium and other toxic elements and fluorosis mitigation

• Chittoor District: Member of District Level Steering Committee led by Outreach on water harvesting, watershed development, food, nutrition, and fluorosis mitigation

• Approached by ‘Foundation for Indigenous Tribes’ (FIT)-NGO Network of Chittoor District to assist them in the issues of access and quality of water of indigenous tribe
