CONTENTS;-

• Consequences after extracting fossil fuels from natural storage….

•Consequences or impact of this particular on CLIMATE….

•World’s level of Resource Consumption….

1. Consequences by extracting fossil fuels….

The three fossil fuel types are coal, petroleum and natural gas.

The extracting and burning of fossil fuels from the natural storage produces around 21.3

billion tones(21.3 gigatonnes) of carbon dioxide per year, but it is estimated

that natural processes can only absorb about half of that amount, so there is a net increase of 10.65 billion tones of atmospheric carbon

dioxide per year.

2. Impact of extraction on climate….

As the extraction of natural resources can cause dangerous effects for the environment, this graph shows that since the year 1880 till 2000 how the temperature has been rising by about 2 degree centigrade in passing time.

3. world’ level of resource/ energy consumption….

This graph shows the consumption level of the resources of the world. According to this graph, many scientists have said if the consumption keeps on increasing then

till about 2043 all the resources which cannot be renewed will last.

And as we know that these exhaustible resources would not be there for the future so it is necessary that we

should only shift are habit frequently otherwise it very difficult for us to cope with the future

situation………………………..

Global Warming due to energy resources

Evidence that the earth is already getting warmer is quite convincing – even to relatively conservative scientists. The planet’s temperature is set to rise by 3 to 4 degrees by the year 2100 if current practices continue, which will melt some of the ice caps and cause the sea to rise between 30 and 110 cm – enough to drown out several islands (such as some of the Maldives) and flood some areas in the Netherlands, Bangladesh and Egypt.

The main cause of the problem is energy use. You probably use electric energy throughout the house for cooking, heating, TV and use fuel in cars. You might not realize that generating energy burns huge amounts of coal, which releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Petrol use and production also releases much carbon dioxide (CO2).

Facts

The Aral Sea, in Central Asia, used to be the fourth largest lake in the world, after the Caspian Sea, and Lakes Superior and Victoria. Now barely 10% of it is left.

Steadily, over the past 40 years, around 60,000 sq km of water, in places 40m deep, has evaporated into thin air.

The last two decades of the 20th century have been hottest in the last 400 years, according to climate studies.

The Arctic is one of the worst places to be effected by global warming.

The Arctic ice is melting rapidly. By 2040 the region is expected to have a completely ice free summer, or even earlier.

By year 2100, the average temperature will rise by 5.8 degrees as a result of global warming.

Each year of the 21st century ranks amongst 14 hottest years since 1880.

In the last 30 years, the average consumption of fossil fuel by United States has been 80%. Fossil fuels are the most dangerous contributors to global warming.

It is estimated that within 100 years there will be no rainforests.

One and a half acres of forest is cut down every second.

The rate of deforestation equals to loss of 20 football fields every minute.
