SIAPE, industrial phosphoric acid and fertilizer company, was inaugurated in 1952 in Sfax. The activity of the plant down to the phosphate processing and production of TSP. A relocation program was launched April 8, 2008 due to the pollution generated within an urban area.
(A Sfax, the air contains high levels of CO, CO2, NO, NO2, H2S, hydrocarbons and lead dust).
