• The combination of a continuing high birth rate and low death rate is creating a rapid population increase.

• Greatest threat to future comes from Over-Population in terms in exploitation of Resources.

• According to United Nations Population Fund(UNPF), death rates have fallen faster than birth rates.

• Increase in Food Production and Distribution.

• Improvement in Public Health(Water and Sanitation).

• Medical Technology (vaccines and antibiotics),along with gains in Education and Standards of Living within many developing nations.

CONCEQUENCES OF RAPID POPULATION GROWTH

• Poverty is a factor that is caused due inadequate access to Land and Income Resources. A Lack in basic needs results in poor heath with decreases the ability of the poor to work and puts them deeper into Poverty.

• Exploitation of Resources which were meant to be utilised by only a particular strength of people will be utilise a larger strength of people.


STRATEGIES TO CONTROL OVER POPULATION

• Individual choice,human rights and collective responsibility are key to allow families to plan the size and spacing of their children.

• Teachers,Parents,Community Workers and Stakeholders should extend a range of choices

available as a Family Planning tool for both the genders.
