Open Street Map Code4Aceh Community

in Tokyo Metropolitan University
Actively involved in many humanitarian works as a volunteer in disaster relief programs in Aceh Yogyakarta Tohoku Japan and Nepal Have full responsibility in organizing many programs held by Aceh Government and NGO DRR and worked closely as individual consultant with UNDP American Red Cross IOM ICAIOS and Department of Public Work of Aceh Province Also involving in DRR information and technology research in particular the comparison study of Aceh-Indonesia and Miyagi-Japan post disaster as well as actively take a part in organizing related workshops

Post Indian Ocean Tsunami 2004 Aceh become a fast growing city and has a potential to
turn its devastating experience into an invaluable lesson to be shared into the world have many
sources capacities and opportunities to sharing and contributing the lesson learn to the world
Such a task it is not a simple one to be carried out solely by Acehrsquos government and
related formal institutions Therefore it is important to establish a network for sharing the
knowledge to the people in an effective way based on community We know that government and
formal institutions have limitation to serve the people To fill in the gap information and build a
networking organization by an easy and simple services to the community Base on these reasons
we created Code4Aceh Community to sharing and transfere information from people to people
