Consequences of Littering• Trash in an area attracts vermin’s and
bacteria’s.
• Broken glass and other sharp objects are
dangerous when they are left lying around in
public places.
• Litter is harmful to wildlife as well. Plastic can
cause animals such as birds to choke, when
they mistake it for food.
• DIRECT COST to Taxpayers. - The
government has to employ people to pick up
trash, and that means tax money.
• INDIRECT COST: Lower property values.
Even Beautiful Cites get Ruined

Who cares!o The worst part is even the well educated people in India Litter

o India is our Country, not a Dustbin.
o We need to change our mentality on how we treat our neighborhood and surroundings. Littering is socially accepted in India – nobody minds, no one cares!
o We can make all the progress, we can make all the economic strides alongside the rich nations, but we can only go so far if we are surrounded by the smelly dirt piles and garbage.

Gotta Solution??? Yes! Let’s not be lazy anymore at least in the
case of littering around.
If you have garbage to dispose of, and
there's isn't a garbage can nearby, then
wrap your trash up (in a napkin, plastic,
paper bag, etc) and place it in your pocket
or carry it with you until you reach a
garbage can. Also, make sure that the
trash actually goes into the garbage can,
and does not fall to the side.
