They are seeing real business benefits…
• Reducing paper and printing waste through recycling by 208 tonnes contributed to a £13K saving for Latcham Direct. A further saving of £10K was achieved by monitoring and reducing electricity and gas waste.
• Re-engineering Trunki product to eliminate metal parts and bringing manufacturing back to the UK improved the recyclability and quality of the product which resulted in less defects and eliminated returns for Magmatic Ltd.
• TJL managed to make an additional income of £500K by granulating unwanted PVC-u window frames and then selling on to be recycled.
• Wickwar Brewery expect to save over £5K on their energy bills and cut raw material waste by £4K after installing water-softening equipment and a new mill.
• Steve Gregor Heating and Renewable Energy installed a vehicle management system which saves them £30K on fuel
• Businesses in the Severnet network worked together to divert 38K tonnes of waste from landfill, saving them £290K and reducing CO2 emissions by 10Ktonnes
