Introducing BarfiaBarfia is the first Indian barfi house to bring an artisan twist to traditional Indian sweets. Classic Indian

favourites are given a new lease of life, infused with western elements and beautifully presented, resulting in a modern and sophisticated range of Indian confectionery. Our range has rapidly become a huge success and

customers throughout London and the UK are avid fans. We have thus decided to launch our new Barfia shop franchise opportunity, which will allow others to share in our success.

Barfia Franchise ConceptOur franchise concept is based around a retail store model. The Barfia shop is designed to sell our full range

of products to the general public. Each shop is beautifully designed, and gives the customer a fantastic shopping experience, where they can choose from our unique repertoire of Indian sweets. Products are on

display, as well as available for tasting, and once the customer has placed their order, we simply package it up in our elegant Barfia boxes, ready to take away. Franchisees also have the opportunity to create a lounge area

to serve hot drinks for onsite consumption, if their shop size allows.

Each shop is designed to attract customers from all communities, and our high quality range of products will appeal to traditional Asian customers as well as the wider public. We also sell our extensive range on a larger

scale, to weddings, events, religious festivals etc, which means our products are in high demand throughout the year.

In addition to the income generated by the shops, all of our Franchisees will also earn commission for every sale generated by the Barfia website.

Barfia Central Production UnitAt the heart of the company lies an integrated central production unit. The full Barfia sweets range is

prepared in our central kitchens in London. The food is cooked, packaged and chilled, ready for distribution to the retail stores. This eliminates the need for kitchen space in the retail unit, as no further cooking is

required. Franchisees can therefore focus on maximising sales, whilst Head Office maintains quality control and arranges distribution.

The Barfia Franchise PackageThe Barfia franchise package provides new franchisees with everything needed to successfully set up and run a

Barfia franchise, including:

Why is Barfia Different? Our business format has been designed to be as simple and straightforward as possible. The Barfia franchise

opportunity is designed for those that have an interest in Indian sweets and confectionery and want to operate within a rapidly expanding market.

Who are We Looking For?We’re interested only in establishing a franchise network that’s successful in the long term. Franchising in our book is not about us simply trying to find people with the money to invest. Long-term success in franchising

involves us building relationships with our franchisees where mutual dependency, co-operation, trust and respect are key to the future success of the whole network

We are confident that the Barfia franchise offers a business environment where the right Franchisees can thrive and achieve their own personal objectives and we can build a successful business together. Therefore it is our responsibility to ensure we take on franchisees that not only have the right qualities and skills to succeed in

business generally, but also those we believe can run a successful Barfia franchise and we can enjoy working closely with.

We want experienced individuals who are looking for an exciting opportunity. You must have a strong desire to build a successful business coupled with a positive attitude. We also require excellent communication

skills, tolerance, a passion for excellent service, the willingness to work hard and to share our ethos. A good sense of humour will also help!

Of course, in addition to all the above, you will need to be able to raise the capital for the startup of your business.

As part of our franchisee recruitment approach, we have a thorough selection procedure for prospective Franchisees. Additionally, we have a structured recruitment process that all Franchisees will follow. This will

ensure that any franchisees and their potential staff are the right match for our company, and in turn will ensure that our business is the right one for you.

Barfia Ongoing FeesIn line with standard Franchisors procedures, Barfia generate their income from an ongoing Management Fee. Our fees are currently fixed at £400 per month. This is paid by the Franchisee to the Franchisor on a monthly

basis. All Franchisees also pay a monthly Marketing Fee of £200, which goes into a central marketing fund. This covers any national marketing activities and website developments.

Role of the Barfia FranchiseeFranchisees are responsible for the management of the business on a day-to-day basis. This covers stock

control, management of staff, customer service and of course solving any problems that you encounter. You will be responsible for ensuring that your business accounts and administration are managed effectively in

accordance with appropriate regulations and tax laws.

Investment LevelsThe start-up costs for the business are listed at the end of the brochure. This details everything that you will

need to purchase and establish a Barfia franchise.

As part of our Franchisee selection process, we will help you to develop a business plan which can be shared with your bank to help you raise finance (if required).

How Much can I Earn?We have developed detailed financial models based upon our own experiences and we will happily share these with you once we have had an initial meeting to discuss your suitability. But to give you an idea, our

projections show that the average shop will generate a profit of upto £90K a year, once it is fully operational.

What do I need to do next?A brochure can only offer limited information, but if you like what you’ve read so far then please complete

the questionnaire which accompanies this brochure and send it back to us. We will review it and contact you to arrange an initial meeting. This is the first stage in our recruitment process and carries no obligations. This first meeting is an ideal opportunity for you to find out more about our business and about us. This way we

can get to know each other a little better, and of course answer any more questions you may have.

In the meantime if you have any initial questions that you would like to discuss by telephone, please feel free to call us on the number below. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
