Evan Sims, is the founder of San Francisco Yogurt Company. In June 2014 he left his job as an engineer at a large biotech company, it was time for a new challenge and a new adventure. After a couple of months of inspiration searching whilst rock climbing in West Coast, Colorado and Utah Evan returned to San Francisco to start a company dedicated to making the most delicious high-fat yogurt imaginable. Lyrical Foods

Lyrical foods makes cheeses from simple, natural plant ingredients, using traditional, artisanal cheese-making methods and cultures. The company offers soft fresh, creamy fresh, semi-soft, soft ripened velvety, and ricotta-style cheeses. It markets its products through Whole Foods Market stores.

Nestle Digital Lab

Nestle, which is headquartered in Switzerland, has been quietly operating its "innovation outpost" in the Bay Area for about a year. But the company has only recently begun to talk publicly about the program, which is designed to get the marketer closer to start ups. 

Ideo Food Lab

From extravagant industry promises to scary government statistics, the mixed messages being sent about food today are sometimes exciting, sometimes confusing, and often overwhelming. At Ideo, the Food & Beverage team spends considerable time talking with people about how they make food decisions.

Khosla Ventures

Khosla ventures fundamentally likes large problems that are amenable to technology solutions The firm focuses on early stage companies in the Internet, computing, agriculture, food etc Khosla Ventures has funded agriculture based companies like BioConsortia, which is an agricultural biotechnology company that uses a proprietary method for the selection of beneficial microbial consortia for crop improvement and food companies like UNREAL, a company that’s attempting to rid the world of junk food by providing healthier candy and snack options

Polina - KptnCook

KptnCook is a free app that inspires people to cook at home, founded by Polina Marchenko, Eva Hoefer and Alexander Reeg at StartUp Weekend in Berlin in January 2014. The trio, who all have a passion for food and technology, wanted to make deciding what to cook easy, fun, and stress-free.

Layla/Koochooloo

Chef Koochooloo is an educational platform that teaches kids about Math, Science and Geography, while raising awareness about worldwide causes through simple health conscious recipes. Layla Sabourian is passionate about helping people all over the world live better, and her daughter Delarai was the inspiration behind Chef Koochooloo.

Bitty Foods

At Bitty Foods, delicious food is made with cricket flour. They believe Cricket flour is a tasty source of sustainable nutrition, packed with protein, healthy fats and micronutrients.
