Speaker Bio:

Joined PB in 2013 as Business Development Manager for Public Sector Services.

25 plus years of experience delivering digital communications in both electronic and paper based environments.

Moved into the PB Europe scanning division in 2014 to build more engaging solutions for converting paper into data and works as a strategy advisor to the NHS clients and IG managers.

• A manual process for sending all physical mail; patient letters, GP letters, test results etc.

• A labour intensive - 6 FTE’s, their role to outbound call to patients and GPs to arrange appointments.

• Stretched resource through manual processes

• Client letter accuracy dependent on human interaction

What was the challenge?

• Management of schemes for NHS Student Bursaries

• Social Work Bursaries (in England) making payments of over £600m in respect of over 120,000 registered healthcare and social work professionals.

• Resolve outdated / labour intensive inbound scanning solution

• Ability to handle scanning packs containing up to 80 different document types

• Reduction of average pack scanning time 44 minutes
