STRATEGIES• AMDC should annually send reminder letters to Ministry/Departments in
charge of Minerals, oil and gas sector (Follow Diplomatic mission protocols)
• Copy to Geological Surveys
• Two entry points
• Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Ministry of Mines
• AMDC should use the geological events to spread the message;
• Regional Conference- e.g Mining Indaba
• Exhibition booth- Noted that some are very expensive
• Countries should Establish National Contact Points- Desk promoters
• Geo-Science Newsletters
This is the preliminary work by the Sub-Committee which can, if necessary and after this workshop, continue being in touch with AMDC
through the Communications Office
