Wat is IoT/IoE?Internet of Things (IoT) ≈ Internet of Everything (IoE)verwijst naar de evolutie waarbij alledaagse dingen ‘online’ gaan en met elkaar en hun omgeving communiceren.
Waarom is IoT nu zo’n “hot topic”?1. Hardware produceren is goedkoper dan ooit
2. Draadloze communicatie staat verder dan ooit (inburgering WiFi en Bluetooth, nieuwe technologiën zoals LoRa en Sigfox laten steeds grotere afstanden en lagere batterijconsumptie toe)
3. Technologische evoluties in andere domeinen werken als hefboom voor IoT (evoluties in cloud computing en Big Data)
