Created by the Chairman of the Local Council of Ille-et-Vilaine in 1990 with the aim of encouraging

international mobility of 18-30 years old, JTM is supported by the European Union and authorized as a

training center though informal education.

The association, in the early 90s, is first turned to the young graduates looking for their first job by offering

to live abroad a work experience corresponding to their qualifications. The Board of Administration (CA)

was then made up of representatives of companies (PSA, Ouest-France), the chambers or services of state

or local authorities.

In the mid 1990s, the association begins to call on European funds and develops programs targeting young

unskilled adults. JTM started in the late 90s a new field of activity: the European Voluntary Service (EVS).

The EVS has been created for a citizen approach rather than professional experience or the construction of

a professional project. It strives on the human experience and the will to act for others.

Jeunes à Travers le Monde (JTM) aims to promote the international

mobility of young adults in Brittany, France; different programs that

such as volunteering, working abroad or performing an internship

abroad are offered in which their main purpose is to help our young

adults to learn from different cultures to engage with international

solidarity and/or to gain professional experience.

Our programs could be taken by students, people that have already

graduated, non qualified, people currently working and also with

the status of seeking for an employment. The main requisite is to

reside in the region Ille-et-Vilaine (or in Brittany for some programs )

thus they are able to claim the support offered by JTM .

The European voluntary Serviceoffers the opportunity to live a volunteering

experience. It helps to discover another culture and to acquire useful skills for

insertion socio-professional. It allows to engage and to carry out general

interest missions (socio-cultural animation , heritage protection, youth

information, social economy, etc.) in a non-profit-structure (associations,

communities, etc).

Our program ARIANE aims to provide an unique experience promoting the

development of new skills (both personal and professional) that will to

promote the employability of young people. At the end of the course, a

certificate and Europass training certificate is awarded by JTM.

Our programsAtlas

Atlas Benin 2017

Atlas program aims to provide an experience internationally promoting

the development of new skills (personal and professional) that will

promote professional integration of young people into the professional

workplace.

Atlas Benin program offers an experience to acquire capacity for personal

development. The objective is to promote the employability youth on

their return. At the end of the course, training certificate is given by JTM.

Scholarship

JTM 35’ Scholarship

In order to encourage young adults from the region Ille-et-Villaine who

are aiming to achieve a project abroad, JTM provides a 500 euros

Scholarship.

We have other Scholarships’ option for those who would like to start a

project abroad, JTM provides a Scholarship from 200 to 2000 euros. In

order for young adults to get it they have to prove that the project in

under a awareness of a common good.

– We have helped more than 10,000 young adults to go abroad since

1990.

– 2,000 out of those have been under one of our programs.

– During the last year (2015) we helped more than 550 young adults.

Testimonials –Internship at UK.“My name is Helena, I went abroad in December 2015 to perform an internship in

England. There I worked in a beauty salon for a period of four months.
