CASTING PELTON RUNNERS BY MEANS OF THE LOST WAX METHOD

• -After calculating the size of the runners and spoons.• -Plaster models are fabricated• -Wax spoons are obtained• -Spoons are assembled inside the wax cube• -The runner is covered in refractory material• -The runner is placed inside a case and filled

up with refractory sand and plaster

Page 5: Lima | Jan-16 | U.N.S.A and Electrification

CASTING PELTON RUNNER

• -Leave it to dry• -The wax is burnt in an oven• -Aluminum or bronce is melted• -The melted material is then emptied into the hole without wax• -Burrs are removed and it is machined

MASTER’S DEGREE IN RENEWABLE ENERGY

• The project was carried out, and a call for admissions made, but the adoption of new law 30220 forced its suspension. It has now been adapted to conform to the new law and a new call for admissions should be made.

• Courses such as Wind Energy Basics, Minihydraulic Energy and Physics in Photovoltaic Cells, etc.

RESULTS

• Alpaca centre at the U.N.S.A in Sumbay, did not work, wind turbine with straight blades, alternator.

• In order to guarantee drying at a constant temperature, photovoltaic panels (200W) serve to move the fan and the stepper motors.

• Lighting 8KW, health centre, posible consultancy
