Location decisions
The Exchange
The exchange is a trendy bar in Leicester on the end of a block that also holds The Manhattan,
a 1920’s cocktail bar. From research into other adverts of
online fashion brands, we took a liking to their use of roofs as a set for part of their advert. The Exchange’s roof is of a perfect
height as you are able to capture the city of Leicester in the background. The basement is also available to us for set use, with funky interior of a
vintage style.
Showrooms
The Showrooms is a bar, located in
Leicester currently not in use which makes it a
perfect location to stage a set for our advert. It has a big
space enabling flexibility and the
freedom to bring in big props if necessary. Its location is easy to get
to making timing a flexible aspect too.
As shown in the picture, the bar remains as it was, therefore being another great source to use as a set.
The building also obtains facilities to acquire all needs.
Colton Square
This large building in Colton square is another possible venue to stage our production using the roof. The height is again tall enough to have the
view of the city of Leicester in the
background and we have the flexibility of easy access to its location.
The Foister Buildings
This building on Charles street is again another possibility to stage our set on the
roof. It has easy access and safe surroundings,
capturing also the lights and the buzz of the city of Leicester in
the background.
East Bridgford
This particular house we have used in our previous
work as a location. It proved to be flexible and
easy access, with space to create the production we
wanted without any limitations or issues.
Previously we mainly used the inside of the house
whereas on this project it is the outside and the
gardens which will be more appropriate for our advert.
Quorn
We will also have access to this house
located in Quorn so is easy to get to with no
time wasted. It has plenty of space both inside and outside. Again we will be
focusing on the outside, making use of possibly the pool and gardens.
We have also managed to gain access to the clothing brand Hotmess’s
photo studio through one of our models. The studio, located in Hinckley might prove to be useful when capturing the more simpler shots to catch
the importance of the clothes.
