NEEDS ASSESSMENT
According to the Alaska Oral Health Plan 2008-2012, 87.3% of third graders who are Alaska Natives have had a cavity – compared with the national average of 52%.

ARCTIC VILLAGE, AK
Treated 25 children in the village (78%)
Completed treatment on 16 children
Treatment included:• 25 Exams, cleanings, fluoride• 28 X-rays• 50 Sealants• 47 Fillings• 3 Extractions
USE OF FUNDS
Portable Nomad x-ray system and laptop
• Use annually on our Alaska Outreach program
• Use throughout the year at the Special Care Clinic at Dental Care West
