Physician Assistants take medical histories, perform physical examinations, order and interpret lab tests, diagnose and treat illnesses, counsel on preventive healthcare, suture lacerations, assist in minor surgery and most importantly prescribe medications. Our attendees include students and seasoned professionals exploring employment opportunities in a variety of settings. PAs also look for financial services, vacation destinations and all varieties of creature comforts to compliment their professional lives. We know from our member ship surveys that: • Over 60% spend up to Ghc100,000 each annually on medical equipment, supplies and medications in physician practices, hospitals, extended care facilities & community health centers • Over 71% either directly influence or recommend the buying of patient diagnostics/treatment & care equipment, supplies and services • Over 68% work in group practices or hospital settings with an additional 14% in solo physician practices • Physician Assistants write more than 20% of prescriptions per year (278 million) • More than 77% of Physician Assistants are responsible for meeting pharmaceutical representatives and many are the primary contact for these representatives Exhibit space is limited and will sell quickly.
