What is GReAT for?

• We want to develop a computer therapy.

• We hope it will help them use gesture.

• People can practise at home.

• We hope the gestures will help people to communicate.

What are we doing?

• We are working with five people with aphasia

• These are our aphasia experts

• They are helping to develop the computer therapy

• They are giving us advice about what they find easy and difficult

• They are helping us to think about other people who have had a stroke.

In the Future

• We want to test the computer therapy.

• We want to see how it works for people at home.

• We will do a research study to test this.

• This will involve other people who have aphasia after a stroke.

• The research study will begin in May 2011.
