Brown rice is commonly referred to as hulled rice that is a whole grain, whereas, white rice is milled, whereby removing the hull of the grain that

contain the bran and germ layers.Brown rice containing bran and germ layers is a source of fiber, protein, niacin,

B6, folate, pantothenic acid, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, phospherous, manganese, potassium, zinc and selenium.

WHY DOES THE ANTI-COAGULANTCOUMADIN HAVE A AN FDA WARNING ABOUT EATING GREEN VEGETABLES?

The only naturally occurring coumestan in the food chain is the phytochemicalcoumestrol. Coumestrol is found in beans, split peas, clover, spinach, alfalfa sprouts,

brussel sprouts and soybean sprouts. Coumestrol is an isoflavone from which coumadin is derived. The anti-coagulant properties of the seeds of the tonka bean

containing coumadin are so potent that they can be lethal in large doses. Due to this, the FDA had it’s use banned in food in the USA.
