throat clear. Chronic dry cough can be caused by post nasal drip, reflux disease, asthma, post viral cough and some medications such as ACE inhibitors, beta

blockers, and aspirin.

Many coughs can be treated with over-the-counter or prescribed cough medicines. There are many things that can be done to help ease your cough.

Water is one of these ways. It can be drank or even put into the air that you breathe by using a

vaporizer or a steamy shower with the curtain closed. Another home remedy is when you gargle a salt and warm water mixture to cut the phlegm.

If these do not work, then you may want to try other methods of getting rid of the cough.

There are many other home remedies for soothing a cough. One

has the use of honey and ginger juice. You will mix equal parts of

these ingredients and using it 2 to 3 times a day. Cinnamon can also be

used. All you need to do is add cinnamon to some tea. You can boil some oregano in some water, filter

it, and drink. For some sweet tasting cough

relief, you can use one teaspoon of honey mixed with a cup of grape

juice. Another sweet remedy includes cherries, lemon, and

honey. You put 2 cups of cherries, just a little bit of water, some lemon

slices, and 2 cups of honey into a pan. You will need to boil the mixture until the cherries are

soft. When they are soft, take it off of the heat and take out the cherry pits and lemon slices. You will need to refrigerate the mixture and take

a couple of teaspoons when you need it for the coughing. Using

these sweeter home remedies can be useful when trying to cure the

cough of children or the cough of an adult that does not like the taste of

the more bitter remedies.

When it comes to a dry hard cough with some complex expectoration you can use many different remedies. One of these is aniseed. This breaks up the mucus.

Aniseed can be made into a tea to drink. Also, for the dry cough, you can try eating apples every day for

2 to 3 weeks. You can also chew betel leaf with 3 to 4 tulsi leaves, a small amount of quantity, and a clove 3

times a day. You can mix tulsi juice with honey and garlic juice. You can take a teaspoon of this mixture every 3 hours as you need it for the coughing. These methods may not help your particular cough. It may

take multiple methods to cure your cough or you may need to seek medical help.

There are some home remedies that are recommended for bed time. One effective remedy is raisins made into a sauce. This remedy can be made with mixing 100gm of crushed raisins, 100gm of sugar, and water. You will

heat the mixture until it has a sauce like constancy. You will need to take 20gm of the remedy every day at bed time. You can drink honey mixed into hot milk. You can

also try sprinkling apple cider vinegar onto your pillowcase. There are many other remedies that can be used at bed time or over night. Home remedies that are used at bed time or night time may be the best route for

you to use. This may be due to the time involved in other methods, or simply having a busy schedule during

the day.
