This approach might work for other body types and for professional bodybuilders (who are juicing their bodies up with steroids). But if you have a naturally skinny body, and you want to gain weight fast in a healthy way, then you need a very different approach. 2. Don't "Eat Junk Food" While it might seem logical that eating a bunch of junk food could help to gain weight, you're advised not to take this approach. The "junk food" approach is usually a bad idea. It's a bad idea because if you're eating fried foods - and other foods that are high in saturated 'unhealthy' fats - these can make you feel full very quickly, without providing your body with any real or significant nutritional value. Don't "Skip Meals or Forget To Eat" Even when you have the best intentions to gain weight, and you convince yourself you are eating a lot, it won't do you any good if you skip meals too frequently, have late breakfasts, of 'forget to eat' because you are 'too busy'. You really need to pay close attention to this if your aim is to gain weight fast. The whole process of putting on lean muscle weight depends you supplying your body with a consistent supply of nutrient dense foods. And going without food for long stretches of time will not help you in your efforts to put on weight.

4. Don't "Believe It's Impossible To Gain Weight" Even if your attempts to gain weight have not worked in the past, it's important not to carry this negative belief around with you. You see, there's an important concept in psychology that goes like this: "behavior follows belief". And so if you keep telling yourself that it's impossible for you to gain weight successfully, your behaviors will start to support this belief system. You'll stop doing the things you need to do that support healthy weight gain, or you won't do them consistently. Or you won't make it a big

enough priority in your life, and you'll let other things 'get in the way'. So, if you have been telling yourself it's impossible to put on weight, stop this right now! Look for new ways to succeed instead.

5. Don't "Fail To Follow A Structured Plan To Gain Weight Fast" This is perhaps the main reason most skinny guys fail to gain weight. They don't have a proven, step-by-step plan to use that eliminates all the guesswork, and shows them very clearly how to gain healthy weight. On the other hand, if you do have a proven program to follow, then you make the process of gaining weight much easier. Instead of needing to 'reinvent the wheel', you can simply emulate what others have succeeded in doing before you.
