FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of NMPEC-2016 organizing committee, we are pleased to announce the XII-th National

Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering Conference-NMPEC, and anniversary session "45 years

Bulgarian Society of Biomedical Physics and Engineering - 45 years of excellence" which will be held in

Sofia from 3 to 5 November 2016 with the cooperation of the Union of physicists in Bulgaria, Bulgarian

Association of Radiology and The Bulgarian Biochemical, Biophysical and Molecular Biology Society.

A major role of this forum in the community of medical physicists, biophysicists and engineers to

join together and exchange experiences with their counterparts from countries in the Balkans, Europe

and the rest of the world and to provide them with an inspiring environment and to determine common

targets for new collaborations.

This joint international conference of high scientific value will provide a unique opportunity for

medical physicists, engineers and specialists from other scientific fields to share experiences and

exchange knowledge on a wide range of topics related to both classic biomedical sciences, biophysics and

engineering, and as representatives of the academic communities in Bulgaria and abroad. One of the

highlights of NMPEC-2016 will be the theme of education, training, qualification and realization of young

professionals the discussion of the evaluation criteria of teaching specialists in the field of biomedical

sciences.

Another point of interest NMPEC-2016 is link between a leading recognized experts to discuss

contemporary science and to meet the challenges in the rapidly changing world of Medical Physics and

Biomedical Engineering as an integral element of health.

Specially invited speakers will present new concepts and perspectives on the role and contribution

of the Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering in the development of modern medicine.

Moreover by our scientific program, we hope that you will enjoy the sights and archaeological

sites in Sofia and the region's rich cultural program provided within the frame of this forum.

We would like to express our gratitude to all of you who plan to attend NMPEC-2016!

The Conference is planned as a three-day program of events, which will include plenary sessions,

scientific sessions, poster sessions, refresher courses, satellite symposiums and round tables. All

sessions will comprise invited keynote lectures.

Official language: Bulgarian and English

Presentation of papers: orally or by poster

ABSRACT SUBMISSION

Please fill in the Abstract submission form, following the instructions in the form. Send resume by

e-mail to the Scientific Committee at: nmpec2016sc@bsbpe.org . Only abstracts submitted in the

correct format will be considered and accepted. Confirmation will be sent back to the e-mail address

from which the Abstract Form had been submitted.

Deadline for abstract submission: July 1-st 2016.

Deadline for notification of authors for abstract acceptance: July 30-th 2016.

Accepted abstracts will be published in Book of Abstracts with ISBN code.

The full texts of scientific reports and posters of officially registered delegates will be

published in CD, supplementary included with the book of Abstracts with ISBN code.

REGISTRATION

Registration form will be available to be downloaded by the website of the Conference

http://bsbpe.org/nmpec2016 after May 1-st 2016. In order to state your intent to participate in

the conference you should complete the form in English and send it by E-mail at Organizing

committee: nmpec2016info@bsbpe.org .

Confirmation will be sent back to the e-mail address from which the Registration form had

been submitted.

Second Confirmation for the payment will be send back to the e-mail address from which the

Registration form had been submitted, after payment.

Note in the registration form whether Invoice should be included.
