It is my pleasure to announce the “I Promise” Campaign, a program aimed at advancing breast cancer education and awareness in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. This program is sponsored by the African-American Affinity Group (AAAG). The “I Promise” Campaign builds on the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation’s SECURE THE FUTURE program, which works with community partners to develop new approaches to address health care disparities in hard hit communities where resources are limited. You can help by making a contribution through the Bristol-Myers Squibb Employee Giving Program website to The Lydia Tree, our nonprofit partner, and encouraging your colleagues and friends to do the same. The Foundation will match all U.S. employee donations dollar-for-dollar.

The mission of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation is to help reduce health disparities by strengthening community-based health care worker capacity, integrating medical care and community-based supportive services, and mobilizing communities in the fight against disease.
John Damonti, VP Corporate Philanthropy

Additional funds will be raised through the BMS Employee Giving Program to purchase more teaching models and other resources to support the project.
