Type Of Genre and Ideas.

The genre I have decided to create my movie trailer on is Horror. I feel that making a Horror movie trailer will be more exciting however in addition to this I feel that it will less difficult to create a Horror trailer. This is because the conventions of a typical Horror are easier to replicate.

All my ideas are going to be based around a hospital. I feel that this is a good location.

Feedback from a fellow student stated that:A hospital is a good location as it is were people die, and have operations(getting cut up)

This feedback helped me become more confident with using a hospital as my location.

The first idea that I generated was that I wanted a girl to be insane, however the twist is that no-one knows this, and she is put in a normal hospital because she is ill. She then goes on a killing spree.

My second idea was based around Halloween. I wanted the main character to be a girl, and her mother has just died. She then goes to a hospital to visit her friend, and she gets followed by a man, with a sack on his head. The main twist to my idea is that the man that tries to kill the main character, is simply trying to get revenge, as the main characters' mom killed the sack mans wife.

A group of friends have an idea. To spend the night in an abandoned hospital on Friday 13th. The main character reads up about the hospital whilst they are in the car. She discovers that in 1997 the hospital was closed down because A man turned insane and went on a killing spree. Her friends tell her it doesn’t matter and it was a long time ago, little do they know that the killer still lives here, and doesn’t like visitors.

My fourth idea is similar to my third idea on the bases of there is a group of friends. However there is paranormal activity that kills the group instead of a person.
