Why become a member?

The goal of our membership service is to keep your parents independent, safe and comfortable in their own homes as they age.

We conduct home safety checks to prevent your parent from falls and injury, home maintenance checks and repairs to preserve the value of your parents’ home and train your parents on senior friendly technologies to help them stay connected with family.

What services do members receive?One stop shop your parents can call to connect with solutions for their home & independence.

Room-by-room home safety inspection to identify and fix over 30 common hazards.

Home maintenance and repair services to preserve the value of your parents’ home.

3 annual home visits to make home safety and home maintenance updates.

Training seniors on technology to keep them connected e.g. Wii Fit & Digital Picture Frames.

Physician-approved health evaluations of physical strength, balance, and memory.

Who benefits most from membership?

According to AARP, over 90% of seniors over 65 want to stay in their current home as they age. The membership is valuable for seniors in any of the following situations:

• need help with home maintenance, home repair & household chores • live far away from their family• live alone• have difficulty with hearing or vision • have come home from the hospital • have experienced a fall in the past year

Roots of the LifeAtHome Membership Service

The LifeAtHome Service is based on the Villages program pioneered by nonprofit organizations serving seniors in Boston and Washington DC. Life At Home Longer has extended the program and made it available to a wider range of families.
