Mental Illness to order
In recent days there has been an increase in my family of mental confusion. Well, it is really a lifetime that gets spotlighted in an instant or an incident. This information/confession was brought
on by an incident in my personal life recently. My family has depression all over it. It covers my family like a warm
blanket in winter and causes much havoc like a burning blanket in summer. I myself have been to the cliff of destruction of self and was brought back to the living in the decision and the practice of unveiling the sub-consciousness and connection to the consciousness. The practice of Buddhism, Martial Arts and meditation in my life has healed my mental wounds. Mental disorders have also afflicted my family for generations. The generation that has come after me is working on action of living and practicing through meditation, martial arts and medication. I understand that the use of some medication is needed to create the calm. In my own practice and teaching I will never exclude medication but I do suggest the practice of connecting the sub- consciousness with the consciousness through a training practice.
While I believe mindfulness meditation has been the keystone to my recovery, I still think mediation and medicine can help one another. I couldn’t manage mental illness as well as I do now if I
did not meditate and practice martial science. But I am thankful and acknowledge that medication for loved ones with the practice has helped them lift the darkness of the mind.
My daughter Nia has Aspbergers she is loving proof of order to Illness
Following the path of Martial Arts & Chan Buddhism I discovered, and continue to discover amazing things about myself. I started to see that there is more to me andto life that initially meets the eye. I discovered that I could grow in one with the universal love and energy and often unexpected ways. I realized that I was much less limited than what I would normally allow myself to believe.
Meditation practice is a powerful tool when used to decrease stress and increase well-being. I do acknowledge that mental
illness is a biochemical of the brain and nervous system malfunctions, I also understand the treatment for medicine for different mental illness. The practice of mindfulness meditation is a talk among people who have read a book or seen a movie but, to truly learn how to practice one must be taught like I was for years. It is a delicate thing to teach because you can confuse the student. The dedication of the teacher must be higher than that of the student for the education, instruction to work. What I have found in my session of meditation practice is the exposing of the weak mind. In the anxiety of the student there is a danger that
lurks. While being connected in the session I can help block danger from entering the hole while helping the student heal the opening. This is very important part of the instructor.
In my different studies and research by many doctors, like Dr. Norman Rosenthal, who is an acclaimed psychiatrist and also studies meditation and medicine of mental illnesses. I understand the benefits of medication and meditation. Dr. Norman Rosenthal has very successful use meditation to help and heal mental disorders with the adjunct of medicines.
There are one in four adults approximately experience a mental health. That is close to 60 million Americans. For what I can see this is going to
increase because of environmental causes. I do hope to spread the practice any and everywhere. I know personally of the pain it has on a
family and I also know of the release of freedom it can have. I wish to teach and share my gift of practice. The purpose of practice is to learn to remove
the darkness and shine light on the sub-consciousness conditions. To increase the vibration and the connection in the brain and mind, where we are fully awake and present to the activity at hand.
This requires concentration. It requires mind training. It requires
the ability to step beyond the distractions of the mind.
So here I promise you this:
You shall never be alone in this world I promise you. You shall have the warm blanket in winter and the soft breeze in summer. If you can remember this only, there is a connection and a source of help in this world for you.
