Madhumeha is considered as Vataja Meha, caused due to vata vitiation in the body. Here deterioration of the body indicates vitiation of vata that influenced dhatu kshaya (loss of tissues).

TYPES I DIABETES


Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus – Type 1

This type of diabetes takes place in childhood or younger age and there is complete lack of insulin hormone that mandates external administration of the hormone regularly as treatment.

TYPES II DIABETES


Non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus – Type 2

In type 2 diabetes enough insulin is not produced by the body or insulin that is made by the body is insufficient to meet the wants of the body.

GESTATIONAL DIABETES


Occurs in pregnant women who have never had diabetes but blood sugar level increases during pregnancy. There are chances that after childbirth the mother can develop type 2 diabetes.

Decrease the consumption of sugar, ghee, butter and processed food items.

Include more leafy vegetables in your diet with green salad.

Consume fruits in limit only. Try not to have more than two fruits in a single day.
