Why is smoking so bad???

• Smoking is bad for you because it harms you as well as others around you.

• Smoking can cause cancer, heart disease and chronic lung disease.

• It kills 120,000 people in the UK every year.• It can be the cause of early death in the world. • Passive smoking is the cause for more than a

few hundreds of deaths in the UK every year.

How will my health benefit?

• You will reduce your risk of developing illness, disability or death caused by cancer, heart or lung disease.

• You will protect the health of those around you.• You will reduce the chances of your children

suffering from asthma or glue ear. • You will improve your fertility levels and your

chance of a healthy pregnancy and baby. • You will improve your breathing and fitness. • You will enjoy the taste of food more.

• Smoking is bad for you, your partner and mainly for your baby. The certainty is that each cigarette you smoke harms your baby.
