Proven Challenges and ongoing Program:

1. An unorganized workers forum the number of members is 25,000.2. LEISA- Low external in Sustainable agricultural group in 110 Villages 3. Economic assistance and widow’s entrepreneurial unit 254. Evening free coaching at 110 villages

Aims and objectives of Program:

To orient the victims of Muscular Dystrophy children and adult and bring them in to therapy support which renders hopes of living, remove them from fear of living and allow them to be away from life expectancy and to be happy forgetting their sorry plight.

Fighting stigmatization motivation to general public as it is not harmful to public health but interconnected with marriage with blood relation and elimination unscientific fact prevails among general public that is happened from ancestral way or due to anger of god or curse of karma etc.

Description of Project:

In an effort of special way amidst of various community development work we happen to see the sufferings of victims of Muscular Dystrophy as they are crippled to chair.

Require other support to move about or to relieve from natural call under continuous medication. They feel that they are conditioned to be isolated, gets secondary love and affection then that of normal children. Such a pre occupation keeps them under perennial mental agony, depression. They don’t know about outer world there is lesser chance of taking part in family activities. So, the program intends to remove them from such biased attitude, isolation.

Remedy for the prevailing Children Environment:

Organizing the children and people with Muscular Dystrophy at one place and helping them with therapy support by an experienced physiotherapist (Doctor). And a house mother cum counselor would be counseling them to retrieve from mental agony and all forms depression.

Strategies:

A total of 30 children are identified across 110 villages in Villupuram district, some are closer villages while others are in far plunged areas. So with the help of a pick up van they will be brought to centre and sent back to their home.

Requested Budget:

1. Cost of salary to a Physiotherapist Doctor Rs.9000 per month (Rs.300 @ 30 days)Rs,9000 x 12 months Rs.1,08,000

2. Consumable aids and appliances to suitThe need of Children Rs.1,65,000

3. Cost of food /Tea/Snacks distribution of30 Muscular Dystrophy children(Rs. 900 per day x 30 days x 12 Months) Rs. 3,24,000

4. Cost of Salary to Nurse (Rs.200 X 30 days X12 months) Rs. 72,000

5. A Pick up Van (second Handed) Rs.5, 00,000

6. Maintenance of centre and electricity Rs.2000 X 12 Months) Rs. 24,000

7. Van Maintenance, Fuel, Driver salary (Driver Salary Rs.5000 +Fuel Rs.10000)Rs.15,000 X 12 Months) Rs.1,80,000

What we anticipate by realizing the Project (Result)

The Children Would have boosted confident of relieving from the panic prolonged disease and hopping that there will be freedom one day,

Sharing experience helping one to one socialization process, independent more about chance of viewing daily news, reading news paper, hearing family background of others,

Continuous counseling will give them psychological empowerment dignified life,

By organizing the brothers and sisters together they can have the opportunity of contact one another,

Follow Ups:A text of reporting based on the internal and external evaluation along with live report through CD, YouTube, Facebook, ACT website would be submitted to donor agencies and valid comments would be sought which would invoke the gradual progress, psychological development parents reaction ,community reflection and so on.
