Chiropractic is the largest Alternative Health Care field, primarily concerned with proper function of the nervous system and it's effects on the person, structurally, chemically and emotionally. Treatments consist of spinal and extremity adjusting, as well as soft tissue modalities. TMJ disorders can be caused by structural, chemical and emotional stress, which has considerable effects on cranial motion, respiration, blood pressure, cervical spine stability, and gait. Through the tool of manual muscle testing, a doctor can determine proper neurological function of the muscles that move the jaw. If a dysfunction is found, manual muscle testing can determine the correction. Dr. Motley will demonstrate how to test for proper neurological function of the TMJ and how to correct any imbalances.
