Example: photos, videos, papers, blog
and REFLECTION
on those artifacts showing one’s growth & discernment
Created in conjunction with MENTORING
Three mentoring sessions
November 23: Storyboard of YL5-YL8
Bring 1-2 artifacts per year that will show your significant, profound growth in the past FOUR years (YL5-YL9),
that SURPRISED even yourself,
that went BEYOND THE CURRICULUM CONTENT.
Make a storyboard that will CONNECT these learnings: Why did you choose these artifacts? How do they demonstrate what you have learned?
Bring the storyboard to mentoring session and share with mentor.
Bring same storyboard to next coaching meeting.
Mentoring guide questions
Note whether the student’s work reflects huge personal learning
from mistakes and achievements (or achievements only?)
successes and failures (or failures only?)
fulfilled expectations and disappointments,
surprises (unexpected learning moments),
Note also evidence of depth and authenticity in portfolio artifacts and reflection.
What do these teach you? What did you learn from them? What has changed since you started at ASMPH?
Explore application of these learnings to relationship with peers, patients, community.
