Resources for Young Adults with Cancer
There's a whole slew of organizations that were specifically
created to help adolescents and young adults with cancer
(both cancer fighters and survivors). Young adults are
between the ages of 15-39. Some organizations help young
people cope or connect with peers who are going through
the same things. Others address topics such as fertility and
survivorship.
American Society of Clinical Onco
logy (ASCO): Cancer in Young Ad
ults
website covers cancer types,
treatments, and clinical trials as well
as relationships, body image, school,
work, and retreats.
Critical Mass: The Young Adult
Cancer Alliance
serves as the unified voice for the
AYA cancer movement, foster
collaborations among AYA
organizations, establish AYA
cancer programs, and provide
access to comprehensive data on
AYA cancers.
Fertile Hope provides reproductive
info, support & hope to cancer
patients & survivors whose medical
treatments present the risk of
infertility. They even offer financial
assistance for sperm banking, egg &
embryo freezing & adoption.
Planet Cancer is an online community of young adults
with cancer that connects and empowers young adults
and helps with access to support, resources, and
"cancertainment." I LOVE Planet Cancer's TOP 10 Lists

SeventyK provides education about
age-appropriate treatment and the
unique needs of adolescent and
young adult cancer patients.
Services include a Wellness Network
for these patients, caregivers, and
healthcare professionals.
Starlight Children's Foundation has
online educational programs and
games, videos, and comic books that
explain medical procedures,
conditions, and treatments. Its online
community and interactive pages help
teens connect with other teens.
Stupid Cancer A global
online/offline community that
empowers young adults affected by
cancer. The Stupid Cancer Radio
Show is a weekly radio show that
airs live every Monday @ 8pm.

Teens Living with Cancer has
information to help teens learn about
cancer, its treatment, and how to
cope. This site’s “Dealing with It”
section talks about body issues,
school, family, and friends, and it
helps teens connect with other teens
who have cancer.
Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults
strives to ensure that all young adults &
families impacted by cancer have a voice
& the resources necessary to thrive.
They offer patient navigation services &
peer-to-peer support groups as well as
resource & financial assistance as well as
college scholarships.
