Seattle is our city…

So let’s treat it that way

Hiding won’t make it go away

We can’t ignore the issue

Especially when it’s right in front of us…

We see it every day.

Do you turn your head?Does reality bother you?

Because reality is subjectiveOr is it just something we have socially

constructed? This is reality for the homeless…

For us, reality differs…

A doctor once said… What’s the difference between me and you?

An accident?

No tricks for the trade?

A job that was lost?

Or just the amount getting paid?

By giving people a second chance…The Church of Greater Seattle has

found ways to help.

Assisting those in need

And turning their lives around

They help find shelter

And those out of luck…

Still stay dry

Homelessness is more complicated than you think…

It’s more than having no where to call home

The food…

The clothes…Their health…

And self-gratification

Can Northwest Harvest take care of the food? They do provide 1.6 million meals in

Washington a month….

It’s more than just food they’re giving..

It’s their time…

And effort…

That makes the DESC and the KCHA capable of getting tens of thousands of

people warm for the night

And the lucky ones…. Permanently.

KCHA supports more than 18,000 affordable households in King County – the 14th most populous

county in the nation.

But thousands are still left behind

Many without the knowledge of where to look for help…

We all see things differently…

But challenge yourself…

Challenge yourself to invisiona world that is ours, not just

yours…

Let Seattle Thrive!

By perceiving a world we can put together
