SeniorCare Inc.
Your Regional Aging and Disability Resource Center
We’ve been connecting seniors with services since 1972!
Our Mission
SeniorCare Inc., a consumer-centered organization,
provides and coordinates services to elders and others,
enabling them to live independently at home,
or in a setting of their choice,
while remaining part of their community.
SeniorCare is a Massachusetts Aging Services Access Point (ASAP)
ASAPs are private, non-profit agencies with Governing Boards made up of at least 51% representation by persons age 60 or over. ASAP’s provide information and referral; interdisciplinary case management; intake and assessment; development and implementation of service plans; monitoring of service plans; reassessment of needs; and protective services investigations of abuse and neglect of elders.
SeniorCare is a Federally Designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA)
AAA’s were established through the Older Americans Act, and address the needs of older adults in a given geographic area. Funds flow through the Executive Office of Elder Affairs (our state unit on aging) to AAA’s, where they are used to support home and community-based support services and nutrition services, such as Meals on Wheels. AAA’s solicit and contract with private vendors for services, administer the disbursement of funding, monitor programs for regulatory compliance and maintenance of quality, and generally coordinate operation of services and resources.
SeniorCare and its programs are funded in whole, or in part, by contracts with, or grants from, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs and other funding sources.
SeniorCare also relies on donations to partially or fully support many of its programs.
SeniorCare manages its funds wisely and devotes approximately 90% of revenues toward programming. We are a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
We thank our supporters for their generosity.
