The forest changes with the seasons.

Cold

Depending on the weather

Colours change

We can see beautiful things.

But our forests are also home to other living things.

…and not so beautiful

There are some dangerous animals

Some prefer the cold but…

…but others prefer the heat

You might see plants that need more sunlight and birds that prefer open spaces.

There are things in the woods that can bite, scratch, sting and cause rashes.

The leafs change colour because from green to red or brown.

This whole process is consequenceof short days and cool nights

In the winter, the woods sleep but they are alive.

Sleep HELPS to protect plants from the cold

No matter what time of year, the woods are a wonderful, interesting and exciting place to be!
