OBJECTIVES:
• To know whether or not the fact that obesity could really be a potential risk of health amongst Bruneian.
• To know the public’s general view towards obesity.
• To know their (public) physical activity & eating habits.
WHAT IS OBESITY?
Is a medical condition; which excess body fat has
accumulated to the extent that it may have
an adverse effect on health.
leading to reduced life expectancy and/or increased health
problems.

CAUSES:Inactive lifestyle• Lack of physical activity.
Environment• Doesn’t support a healthy eating habit or lifestyle.
Genes & family history• Strong influence on a person weight.
Smoking• Some gain weight when quitting.
Emotional factors• Some people eat more than usual when they’re bored, angry or stressed.
Medications• Can cause weight gain (e.g) antidepressant, seizure medicine & corticosteroids.

Medicine(surgery/pills)• Liposuction BUT strongly discourage.• Pill; losing weight in an unhealthy way.
Weight loss program(self discipline)• Obese people usually lacks of initiative, motivation but full of
laziness. It is best for them to get a personal trainer to motivate & supervise them.
