When cooled from room temperature liquid water
becomes increasingly dense, as with other
substances, but at approximately 4 °C (39 °F), pure
water reaches its maximum density. As it is cooled
further, it expands to become less dense.
Compressibility
The compressibility of water is a function of
pressure and temperature

Water Function
Scientists investigate water memory
December 8, 2011
New research from the Aerospace Institute of the University of
Stuttgart in Germany supports the theory that water has a
memory—a claim that could change our whole way of looking at
the world.
The ancients lived in deep knowledge
of the sacredness of water
•water is the central source of our beings.
• It is part of every cell and fiber in us;
•it is our very essence.
•earth, animal, human, and plant together as one
•there has been the same water
• and the same amount of water
• on the earth for millions of years
What messages are we receiving from our
ancestors when we drink
Spiritual aspect of Water
•14 percent of all Ogallala irrigation wells
tested contained one pesticide or more.
• Most common was Atrazine, herbicide,
used cornfields
•known hormone disruptor
• retarding fetal development.
•5 percent wells contained nitrate levels
excess of EPA safety standards
•Excess nitrate levels in drinking water can
impair the blood’s ability to deliver oxygen
in infants, causing “blue baby syndrome.”
•The aquifer is being wasted and polluted.
•thirsty crop that requires over 20 inches of
irrigation water
• polluted with pesticides and nitrogen fertilizers.
Replenished by half an inch a year.
We pump out over 30 times that amount.
•yields about 30 percent of the nation's
ground water used for irrigation.
•provides drinking water to 82 percent of
the people who live within the aquifer
boundary
WATER
•It takes more than 2,400 gallons of water to produce 1 pound of
meat
• while growing 1 pound of wheat only requires 25 gallons
• You save more water by not eating a pound of meat than you do by
not showering for six months!
•A totally vegan diet requires only 300 gallons of water per day,
• a typical meat-eating diet requires more than 4,000 gallons of water
per day.
LAND
•raising animals for food now uses 30 percent of the
Earth's land mass
• More than 260 million acres of U.S. forest have been
cleared to create cropland to grow grain to feed farmed
animals
•leads to soil erosion and eventual desertification that
renders once-fertile land barren.
ANIMALS for
FOOD
WASTE & EXCREMENT
•The EPA reports that chicken, hog, and cattle excrement
has polluted 35,000 miles of rivers in 22 states and
contaminated groundwater in 17 states.
•scientists have discovered that male fish are growing
ovaries, and they suspect that this deformity is the result of
factory farm runoff from drug-laden chicken feces
•massive amounts of feces, fish carcasses, and antibiotic-
laced fish food ,contribute to water pollution
FOOD
•more than 70 percent of the grain and cereals that
we grow in this country are fed to farmed animals
•It takes up to 16 pounds of grain to produce just 1
pound of meat
• fish on fish farms must be fed up to 5 pounds of
wild-caught fish to produce 1 pound of farmed fish
flesh.
ANIMALS for
FOOD
Concentrated (or Confined)
Animal Feeding Operations
(CAFOs) •Animals in factory farms are confined indoors, with minimal
room
•no access to sunlight and fresh air.
• Animals are mutilated to adapt them to factory farm
conditions.
•cutting off the beaks of chickens and turkeys (de-beaking)
• amputating the tails of cows and pigs (docking).
•70 percent of all antibiotics used in the United States are
regularly added to the feed of livestock and poultry that are
not sick
•Bacteria that are constantly exposed to antibiotics develop
antibiotic resistance
•animals are fed hormones and antibiotics to promote faster
growth.
•bottled water$15 billion and 8 billion gallons annually
•researchers found that 70% bottled water contains more bacteria than tap water
•Coca Cola-owned Dasani bottled water often comes from local water utilities.
•up to $5.50 a gallon on the bottled stuff, or as low as $0.15 per gallon for tap water with
a home filter.
By the year 2030, two-thirds of the
world’s population will have no
access to potable drinking water
•Much of the water being sold by
these companies is simply filtered
tap water.
•companies were mining water in many
of the 35 states that dealt with severe
drought in 2008, then sold it back to the
public at 1900 times the cost of
municipal water.
Single use water bottles Are
Dangerous
for Humans and our Planet•It takes 17 million barrels of oil per year to
make all the plastic water bottles used in the
U.S. alone. That's enough oil to fuel 1.3 million
cars for a year
BOTTLES
Aluminum
Glass (BEST)
Plastic (2,4,5, maybe safe) (#7 Dangerous)
bisphenol A (BPA). BPA disrupts the body's
endocrine system and is released into water
through plastics made of polycarbonate,
labeled as PC or with a "7" on the bottom of
the bottle. The FDA has not determined how
much BPA is safe to consume or how much is
released into water.
Food Grade Stainless Steel
(316 TI stainless steel)
• The tap water is highly regulated by the
Environmental Protection Agency,
•which requires it to be tested 300 times a month
• while bottled water companies are unregulated by
the FDA (unless water crosses state lines)
•Contains chemicals, pesticides, bacteria, drugs
TAP Water
ALKALINIZED WATER
What is Alkaline water?
Alkaline water is water with a pH higher then 7.0
The pH of water is the difference between how much
hydrogen (h+) water has vs. how much hydroxyl (oh-)
water has.
If you add minerals with more H in them then OH the pH
goes down.
Most city tap water in the U.S and other countries is
alkalized (OH added) to raise the pH to about 8.5 on
average.
This is because low pH water tends to dissolve things
like concrete drain pipes and copper piping; while high
pH tends to form deposits which actually thickens the
same pipes. The reason is that thicker pipes rupture
less often but plug over time.
REVERSE OSMOSIS
American Medical Association(AMA)
•reverse osmosis was found to be CONCENTRATING the dangerous
heavy metals mercury and aluminum
•Mercury and aluminum have been linked with extensive neurological
disorders.
•Nearly every municipal water system uses aluminum
compounds(alum) in water treatment processes
• Many shopping center vending machines(and some water stores) sell
reverse osmosis water, using municipal tap water as a water source.
Boiling concentrates floride
Biproduct of aluminum and fertilizer industry
Phosphate mined refined to phosphoric acid (soda) and
phosphates (fertilizer)
Killed cattle
Fluoride
our opposition to drinking water fluoridation has grown, based on
the scientific literature documenting the increasingly out-of-
control exposures to fluoride
•the lack of benefit to dental health from ingestion of fluoride
• the hazards to human health from such ingestion
•include acute toxic hazard
•impaired kidney function
• gene mutations
• cancer
•reproductive effects
•Neurotoxicity
•bone pathology
•dental fluorosis
EPA'S HEADQUARTERS UNION OF SCIENTISTS
OPPOSES FLUORIDATION
EPA DOCUMENT We have also taken a direct step to protect the employees we represent from the risks of
drinking fluoridated water. We applied EPA's risk control methodology, the Reference
Dose, to the recent neurotoxicity data.
The Reference Dose is the daily dose, expressed in milligrams of chemical per kilogram
of body weight, that a person can receive over the long term with reasonable assurance
of safety from adverse effects.
…Persons who drink about one quart of fluoridated water from the public drinking water
supply of the District of Columbia while at work receive about 0.01mg/kg-day from that
source alone.
This amount of fluoride is more than 100 times the Reference Dose. On the basis of
these results the union filed a grievance, asking that EPA provide un-fluoridated drinking
water to its employees.
The implication for the general public of these calculations is clear.
Recent, peer-reviewed toxicity data, when applied to EPA's standard method for
controlling risks from toxic chemicals, require an immediate halt to the use of the nation's
drinking water reservoirs as disposal sites for the toxic waste of the phosphate fertilizer
industry\24.

silver impregnated, filled with
active carbon filters 3,000 gal
Removes heavy metals, nitrates,
bacteria, and cleanable
Water Filters
Doulton uses coconut shells.
Active carbon is used for water
treatment due to its adsorbing
effect with respect to organic
and health endangering
chemicals
Free silver ions (Ag+) have a toxic effect on micro-organisms even in relatively low
concentrations. They have a highly fungicidal, bactericidal and algaecidel effect. Medical
studies describe silver ions a catalyst that disable the enzymes that microorganisms
depend on to "breathe
Doulton mines only the finest and purest
kieselguhr or diatom earth
from kiesel algae (one celled algae)
deposited on the bottom of geological
lakes and lagoons millions of years ago.
