The various causes of drug addiction and its effects on the brain
Drug addiction can be caused because of various factors that may include the
following:
The person is surrounded with mental disorders such as tension or fear or stress.
The person has somebody in family with drug addiction.
The person has been suffer with traumatic abuse or has faced negligence in his
childhood.
The person has been using drugs since an early age.
Drug addiction affects the brain in the following ways:
The dopamine (pleasure generating chemical) level in the brain is increased by taking
a recreational drug, which are remembered in the brain and urges for repetition.
Just like other normal behaviour of eating and drinking, the repetition of drugs results
into addiction.
Because of drug addiction, the individual loses his capability of thing clearly and
making decisions and even controlling emotions of anger or sadness.
It doesn’t matter of whatever drugs is the individual addicted to, the craving becomes
uncontrollable and important than family or friends or just about anything else.
The person under the drug addiction is totally bounded by an uncontrollable state of
mind and he/she may find rational reasons of taking drugs.
