BEING A VEGETARIAN
WHAT IS IT?
A vegetarian is a personwho does not eat meat, poultry and fish.

Vegetarians eat mainlyfruit, vegetables, legumes,
grains, seeds, and nuts.
Many vegetarians eat eggs anddairy products but avoid hiddenanimal products such as beef andchicken stocks, lard.

WHY DO WE NEED
TO BE VEGETARIANS?
Some of us want to livelonger, healthier lives or do
our part to reduce pollution.
Others have made the switch because we want to preserve Earth’natural resources or because we’’ve always loved animals and are ethically opposed to eating them.

VEGETARIAN
LOW CHOLESTEROL LEVELS
High cholesterol
levels may
cause death,
it’s known. But
low cholesterol
may cause
death, too.

vegetarians take
their nutrients
from non-meat

that vegetarians

than meat-eaters.
LOWER LEVELS OF VITAMIN B12

products so, lack of
these products may
cause low level of B12 if
you don’t get your B12
from meat products.
B12:a vitamin that is used by your body to keep your nerve system healty.

It’s known that there are a lot of omega-3 inside
fishes. So, not eating fish may cause lack of omega-3.
