In a nutshell….

I created an online program for people with COPD, Asthma, Emphysema, and other breathing issues.

Many people cannot make it to a formal hospital-based Pulmonary Rehab program due to transportation, co-pays, still working, or programs are full.

Problem:13 Million people have COPD. No program close to the patient No access to reliable health information Internet is recycled articles Current solutions: Most formal PR programs take 6-8 people for 6-8 weeks. Most insurance allows ONE time through a program, if they can find one. GP’s and internists try and manage these patients This is not enough!

Opportunity :

Most COPD patients are in their 70’s. This demographic is increasingly online Many are at their wit’s end trying to get help from Medicare and their

doctors, and answers from any reliable source. Pulmonary Rehab has been proven to improve the Quality of Life and to

decrease hospital admissions in patients with COPD

COPD Foundation – info is free. But fragmented NIH – info is free- but too much and not in order, little direction Google “COPD” you get Pharmacy sites Then they get targeted with stupid stuff: “Ask your doctor about….” Then they go on Facebook to ask their friends

Exit strategy

Sell the site to Pharmaceutical company, IPA, Health /Medical group with large COPD population and no viable PR program

[Let’s talk about that - For example: Healthcare giant Kaiser Permanente. . .

Page 14: Quick Pitch deck for COPD Success

Large Hospital- based PR programs:

Cost to run a PR program: Space-often shared with Physical Therapy or cardiac rehab Oxygen tanks Staff- 1 RT or staff per 4 patients , 3 days a week Coordinator – intake, staffing, candidate review, etc. Studies show hospital based PR programs are NOT profitable, EVEN though

Pulmonary Rehab is proven to lower readmissions, a federal mandate . Skip the space issues and the staff issues- have the patient do it themselves. Motivation- is also a factor in live programs. The DOCTOR will be the cattle prod, “did you complete the COPD Success

program yet?”
