Measurement of range of fusion (H ,V &T) Assessment of binocular status(SMP,F&Ste) Measurement of IPD “After Image” testing To detect Retinal Correspondance Measurement of deviation (SA&OA) Appreciation of entoptic phenomena

Pt’ is seated c chin & forehead adjusted so that eye is at the level of eye piece

The IPD is adjusted c the fixing eye aligned c line on top of eyepieces

Adjustment in position of tubes are done for vertical, horizontal and torsional deviations

For measuring deviations -SMP slides are used. -In subj.measurement pt’

decides & in obj. examiner does so, by switching on or off the light

For measuring fusion -tubes are locked after

neutralisation of deviation. -Convergence & Divergence are

induced till patient sees binocular single.
