Alligator Shear

Also known as a crocodile or lever shear with a hinged jaw and powered by a flywheel or hydraulic cylinder. They are sued for cutting long metal stock or scrap, generally where accuracy is not so important. It is often used with large metal shredders to clean or prepare the scrap for shredding.


Also known as cut-off saw or metal-chop saw. It is specifically used to cut hard materials such as metals. Portable abrasive saws have made site jobs quite easier.

Bandsaw

It uses blades consisting of continuous band of metal with teeth along one edge to cut various work-pieces. Bandsaw helps in uniform cutting as it has evenly distributed teeth load. They are used in cutting meat, metals and even hard timbers.


Diamond Saw A variety of diamond saw blades like circular diamond blades, drills and surface grinding wheels are used in construction work. They are used in cutting stone, cobalt, asphalt, bricks, glass in the construction industry. Diamond saw tools are sued in cutting semiconductor materials in IT industry and cutting gemstones like diamonds in the gem industry.


Hacksaw

A fine-toothed saw for cutting metal. Also used in cutting plastic and wood. For eg. Plumbers and electricians often use them to cut pipes and plastics.


High Speed Steel

It is a subset of tool steels, and is commonly used in tool bits and cutting tools. It is often used in power saw blades and drill bits. They allow cutting faster than high carbon steel. The main use of HSS continues to be in the manufacture of various cutting tools: drills, taps, milling cutters, tool bits, gear cutters, saw blades, router bits etc.


Jigsaw

A tool used for cutting arbitrary curves such as stenciled designs or other custom shapes into a piece of wood, metal or other material. Modern jigsaws are power tools made up of electric motor and a reciprocating saw blade.


Milling Cutters

They are cutting tools used in milling machines or machining centers to perform milling operations. They remove material by their movement within the machine or directly from the cutter’s shape.


Bimetal Bandsaw

They are metal cutting blades used on the bandsaw to cut carbon steels, tool steel, structural steel, stainless steel, pipes and tubes. They can even cut ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as brass, aluminium bronze or steel.



Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT)

TCT saw blades are used for industrial use in cutting metals, aluminium, wood or plastic. The cutting edge consist of a separate piece of material either brazed, welded or clamped on to a separate body.
