Each year, International Day of Peace is observed around the
world on 21st September. The General Assembly has declared this
as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within
and among all nations and peoples. In 1945, the United Nations
was formed based upon the worldwide desire for peace. This came
after the most destructive war in the history of mankind, the World
War II. Since its inception, Peace Day has marked personal and
planetary progress toward peace. Over the years, it has flourished
including millions of people across the world, commemorating and
celeberating the day by organizing many events to promote peace.
