HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN(AWESOME) WEBSITE

Secure your hostingaccount & domain name
Visit BlueHost & click on the big green"Get Started Now" button to start settingup your hosting account.
Select your hosting plan. I suggest the"Starter Plan" since it's the mostaffordable and works great for mostbusinesses and websites. You can alwaysupgrade later if you need more.
Next, type in the domain name you'd like(it's free for the 1st year). You may have totry a few times to find one that's available.
Continue on to fill out your billing &contact information. Feel free to un-checkany or all of the upgrades.

If you can afford it, I recommend keepingthe "Site Backup Pro" as a safety measure.
Almost done! Continue through to set upyour account login name & password. Youwill receive a confirmation email onceyou've completed the sign up.
Install WordPress withthe easy "1-click" option
Login to your BlueHost account using thelogin name & password you set up in theprevious step. From your control panel,click the "Install WordPress" icon.
BlueHost will walk you through installingWordPress on your domain in a few steps.When you get to the last step, make sureyou click "show advanced options" to setup your site title, username and password.
By clicking this option and defining yourown username & password (instead of justgetting stuck with the default), you willmake your website less vulnerable tohacks or break-ins.

Once your site is ready, you can login bytyping yourwebsite.com/wp-admin inyour browser's address bar.
Use the username & password you set upin the previous step.
Choose a theme andcustomize your design
Now comes the fun part - designing yoursite! There are literally thousands of free &premium (paid) themes out there, butdon't get overwhelmed! I'm here to help :)
Since you're just starting out, a free themeshould be fine. Here are two tips to keepin mind when searching for a theme:
It should be "responsive",meaning it works well ondesktop as well as mobile
It should have good userreviews. Shoot for a themewith at least 4+ stars.
But how do you even find themes? It'sactually pretty easy! Read on to find out.
Once you log in to your website (see lastnotes in Step 2 above), you'll be at yourWordPress Dashboard. This is your"back-end home base" so to speak (moreon this in the conclusion section below).
To choose a theme, click on "Appearance"from the left sidebar menu. Then click the"Add New" button at the top of the page.
From here, you can browse popularthemes and install different ones to playaround with and see which will be a goodfit for your website. Many allow you tocustomize colors, layout and more.

This video recommends a premiumtheme, but as I said earlier, a free themeshould be just fine to start!
He is using the free "Accelerate" theme inthis video. To follow along, just type in"Accelerate" in the "Search themes..." box(see screenshot on page above) andinstall it on your site.
