Multistakeholder
Etymological roots in the United Nations, where interested parties are often referred to as “stakeholders”. Multistakeholderism means expanding opportunities for participation beyond governments to other stakeholders in society. Government, private sector, civil society organization and technical community
In Internet Governance context,
Multistakeholder is a term introduced around 10 years ago in World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) and has become a necessity in managing this complex Internet Governance issue.
Key issues Building trust
Transparency and accountability – part of the mechanism
Participation and resources No equal participation from all stakeholders
Bad actors Decision making process usually by rough
consensus bad actors seek to damage trust and its outcomes

Multistakeholder, is a challenging journey.
