Counterfeit

• The number of IPR seizures increased nearly 7% from 22,848 in FY 2012 to 24,361 in FY 2013.

• The estimated MSRP of seized goods increased from $1.26 billion in FY 2012 to $1.74 billion in FY 2013.

• Average daily seizures totaled just over 66 seizures per day, with an average MSRP of each seizure being slightly more than $71,500.

• For the first year since FY 2005, footwear seizures are not one of the top 5 commodities seized.

• Overall sports jerseys made up almost 29% of all seized counterfeit shipments.

• Additionally, 1,413 domain names distributing counterfeit merchandise were seized

• Suspect Package intercepted at Port of Anchorage.

• CBP ANC contacted rights holder based on the information provided on

the CBP Recordation site.

• Primary Rights holder made three calls▪ IPR Center▪ Other identified brands▪ Local council in destination city

• IPR center coordinated and executed a successful controlled delivery. Product was intercepted and importers were arrested.
