There is no known antidote to get the blood to clot, if needed. The "no blood test" claim with the no antidote available exposes patients to a much greater risks of suffering from a severe bleeding event. The injury firms are investigating is the link between males who suffer from gynecomastia (breast growth) after taking Risperdal.

Issue/ Injury: Zofran is an anti-nausea medication approved by the FDA in 1991 to help cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment and also post surgery patients.

In 2012, the U.S. Department of Justice sued Glaxo for fraud because it illegally promoted this drug for use in pregnant women. It was being promoted for off-label use for women suffering from morning sickness and won a settlement of $3 billion—the largest drug fraud settlement ever. There has been links to birth injury if Zofran is taken within the first trimester. Injuries include cleft lip, cleft palate, heart defects, atrial fibrilllation, septal defects & even deaths.

Issues/ Injuries: A Sioux Falls, South Dakota federal jury found that J&J’s talc powder was the cause for the development of a women’s ovarian cancer in 2013. Studies showing a higher rate of the disease with talc use have typically found an increased risk of about 35 percent, this puts the odds at about one in 50.

Women taking these birth control medications may be at risk of developing PTC. PTC literally means "false brain tumor". People with PTC have an increased amount of cerebral spinal fluid which causes pressure in the skull. This causes people to have similar symptoms to those who have brain tumors. In some cases it can causes progressively worsening vision and may eventually cause blindness.

Issue/ injury: This is a forced air warming blanket that has been linked to the contamination of surgery rooms and deep joint infections. It was designed to keep patients warm during surgery, but accumulates under the surgical drape, travels to the floor, and lifts bacteria off the floor and into the surgical wound. Contaminants from the dirty floor lead to Periprosthetic Joint Infections (PJI), a serious joint infection which could lead to amputation of the limb.

patients.Manufacturer: AstraZenecaFebruary 11, 2014: FDA issued a safety communication as a result of a New

England Journal of Medicine study that reported that patients are at an increased risk of heart attack while taking Saxagliptin (marketed as Onglyza an Kombiglize).

April 14, 2015: FDA's Endocrinologic and Metabolic Advisory Committee voted 14-1 in favor of changing the drug's label in light of results from a post-marketing study that found Onglyza was associated with a 27% increase in hospitalizations for heart failure as well as a higher risk of all-cause mortality.
