Finding out about you Design Process Project Management

A creative re-invention – I believe myself to be confident in a creative field, personally because of the designs that I can sometimes produce from thought. This

would make me ideal for the role of designing imagery that others want of me,

fulfilling my role of creating the main character for a computer game.

Your likes, dislikes and personality – My likes, dislikes

and personality will affect my work slightly, because if I like the project I am keener to work on it. Although,

some dislikes such as animation would still be completed to a high standard.

Task 1 – Project Definition

Project Management

Commitment to task – I will be committed to my task in order to complete it too a further developed standard. For instance, with each task I will put a lot of time and dedication into it, researching and learning, solely because I feel it should be completed to a higher standard. As well as this I will manage my time through a schedule.

5 Weeks to work on task – The five weeks given for the project will see me doing different pieces of work through-out for instance week 3 would be the stage in which game genre, setting and synopsis are discussed. This is due to the tight schedule in which my work needs to be completed.

7 tasks – Clear managed process – The work itself will be organised into 7 tasks both in folders and uploaded to my blog. The seven tasks will all be contained in 1 folder and would allow me to search and navigate them with ease for any unfinished work.

Chronological Log of production – I will assemble a fundamental production log of my work to show the order and time invested into areas of it.

Managing my production and blog – I will update my blog with every major change I make to this project. The management of my production will be followed up in the production log. Although, my blog will show production of the finished pieces of work I produce.

My Skills

Adobe Photoshop – Raster – I am confident with

Photoshop in the sense I can get a task finished, although my skills and work on Photoshop can most definitely be I, proved with further work and time into the program, I feel as though my work is hindered if I do not have enough time to finalize it, therefore I will need to focus time around Photoshop more than other software

Adobe Illustrator –Vector-I

am confident with illustrator as I believe my vector art work is of high standards, I think his because of my use of tools in illustrator. I can create imagery using the appropriate tools for the job and with character and background design I believe I could create a relatively nice piece of work adequate for my role in creating a main character.

Software

DSLR Camera – I have knowledge of how to use a DSLR

camera from a variety of angles and resolutions including adjustment to

weather etc.

Contingencies – I will save my work on

a USB drive, as I believe that I should load my work through that and decrease the risk of

corruption or missing files.
